Welcome to The University of Texas at El Paso’s Study Abroad Office website. We are excited that you are interested in pursuing a Study Abroad experience as part of your undergraduate or graduate education. 

The Study Abroad Office provides UTEP students with the opportunity to enhance their educational experience and gain global experience by participating in any number of international study programs.

Currently UTEP has agreements with over 200 universities in more than 50 countries and we are adding more on a regular basis.  Additionally, the University has many dedicated faculty members who conduct short-term Faculty-led programs during Maymester and Summer semesters in various locations throughout the world.

The Study Abroad Office also welcomes students from Universities with which UTEP has established agreements who want to study abroad here for a semester or academic year.  Our office coordinates the application, acceptance and immigration processes for all incoming exchange students.  We also provide an on-site orientation for new students as well as organizing a number of cultural, social and community-based events throughout the semester.
